How are online parking charges calculated?

Online parking charges are calculated on a 24-hour basis or part thereof. Dublin Airport offer a flat rate for both short and long-term parking. Your exit time will be extended to give you the full benefit of the per day parking rate. There is no additional cost for this extra time.

How much does parking in the Holiday Blue long term car park cost when I don't prebook online?

The parking charge for the Holiday Long Term Blue car park is €8.50 per day or part thereof.

How do I get the best online car parking price?

Get the best online price by pre-booking your parking well in advance of your car park entry date. Demand is high for our lowest priced offers and they sell out quickly, so the lowest price offered on one day may vary from what you see on a different day. Our prices are subject to change. Therefore, the price is only valid at the time you get your quote. Booking will be accepted up to 3 hours before your entry, however much earlier bookings are advised to get the best prices.

What is the normal charge for parking in the Express Red long term car park when I don't book online?

The parking charge for the Express Red car park is €9.50 per day or part thereof.

Do Dublin Airport parking charges include VAT?

Yes, the parking charges include VAT at 23% (from 1st January 2012)

What is the normal charge for parking in the Short Term car park when I don't book online?

The normal daily parking charge for the Short Term car park is €40.00 per day or €3 for the first hour and €4.50 per hour (or part thereof) for additional hours.

Do I have to pay a fee to amend or cancel my booking?

There is no fee for amending or cancelling your booking.

Is it possible to amend or cancel a car park booking?

It is possible to amend or cancel a booking, however it must be up to 6 hours in advance of the pre-booked arrival time. You will need the booking reference number from your booking confirmation and the email address you provided during the booking process. Do I get a refund if I cancel my car park online booking?

Yes, if you cancel the booking up to 6 hours in advance of the stated, pre-booked arrival time and date, then your car parking fee will be automatically refunded back to you in full to the debit-credit card used to make the online booking. Cancellations cannot be accepted any later than this 6-hour provision.Please go to ‘Manage my booking’ on the home page of dublinairport.com and enter your booking reference number and email used to make the booking to proceed to cancel. You can also contact Customer Service on 01 944 0440 to cancel your booking This does not apply for bookings made through Ryanair.com, please contact Ryanair Customer Service to provide credit/debit card details to arrange a refund.

Do I get a part refund for any unused portion of a car park booking if I return earlier than planned?

The charge for any unused portion of a parking period may be partially refunded. Queries in relation to payment must be made in writing to: Car Parks Administration Manager, Dublin Airport, or via email to parkingdublin@dublinairport.com with the following details enclosed: Booking reference number Car park name Arrival date & time Departure date & time Fee charged Car registration number used to make the booking Email used to make the booking Daytime telephone number Refunds will only be made to the credit or debit card used to make the online pre-booking.

How do I extend my booking?

How do I book online?

Log on to www.dublinairport.com or prebook.dublinairport.com Select your dates and entry and exit time for your travel Click on the "Book Now" button. The system will check parking availability for the dates and times specified by you and, if parking is available, will display car park options and prices Select a preferred car park and continue to the personal details page Enter your payment details and process the payment. Once all the details are correct you will receive a booking confirmation by email.

How close to my date/time of travel can I prebook car parking online?

The system will accept pre-bookings up to 3 hours prior to the expected time of arrival at the selected car park. You can book in advance up to two years before your entry date.

Can prebooked customers arrive before the prebooked arrival time?

Yes, pre-booked customers can arrive up to 2 hours in advance of the pre-booked arrival time.

What happens if I stay longer than I originally anticipated?

When you arrive at the car park exit barrier the car park system reads your licence plate, checks your pre-booking file and calculates the duration of your stay, establishing whether any additional fee is due If an additional fee is due, you will be required to insert a credit or debit card to pay the additional fee, which will be calculated based on the drive up tariff applicable on the date of your departure from the car park.

What methods of payment can I use to prebook parking online?

VISA, VISA Debit, Master Card and Apple Pay.

I haven’t prebooked online, can I still use the car park facilities?

Yes, you can still use the car park facilities even if you have not prebooked online. The charges are as follows: Short Term Car Parks: €3.00 for the first hour, €4.50 for every following hour, maximum charge of €40.00 a day Long Term Car Parks: Express Red: €12.00 a day, Holiday Blue: €10.00 a day.

Can I use the same credit card for more than one reservation?

Yes, you may use the same card for multiple bookings providing none of the booking periods overlap. Please provide an alternative credit/debit card for each book for verification purposes only.

How do I know if my booking has been accepted?

On completion of the booking process, the website will confirm that your booking was accepted and that a booking confirmation is being sent to your email You then receive an email confirmation at the email address you provided when making the online booking These confirmations set out the details of your booking and include your unique booking reference number.

How will the foreign exchange rate be applied if I book online with my credit card using foreign currency?

The foreign exchange rate charged to your credit card is applied at the time you make your booking online. This exchange rate is set by your credit card company. daa receives payment for your online booking only in Euro.

What if I don't receive a booking confirmation at the end of the process or a booking confirmation email?

My booking confirmation has a different date and time from what I entered in the booking system. Is this an issue?

When you pre-book your car parking, the exit time is automatically extended to the same time as your entry time, on a rolling 24-hour basis, in order to give you the benefit of the full day parking rate, at no extra cost. For example: if your entry time to the car park is 04.00 on the 10th of June and you are due to exit on the 17th of June, but at a later time such as 19.00, then the system automatically allows you extra exit time to reflect the full 24 hours available to you on your per day car park rate. Your exit time will appear on the booking as 04.00 on the 18th, to allow you ample time, but you will still be able to exit on the 17th.

What happens if I arrive at the entry to my prebooked car park and a sign says that it's full?

The "Full" sign is for the information of customers who have not pre-booked their parking online .

What happens if my car gets damaged while I am away?

Please see the standard terms and conditions (click here to go to section 8 daa’s liability) as set out on the prebooking pages of the website and also the disclaimer notices prominently positioned at the entrance to the car parks.

What happens if my car won't start when I return?

There is a free 24-hour vehicle assistance service in operation in the car parks at Dublin Airport. They will be able to help you there and then with a flat battery or flat tyres free of charge, and after that can help to organise other car services as required. Please contact our on-campus car parks team on +353 1 8144828.

The machine at the car park didn’t issue a receipt. Who do I contact to get the receipt?

Please send an email to our Customer Services team at parkingdublin@dublinairport.com. Please make sure you put in the dates and times of travel and the registration number of the car in your email, so we can issue you an accurate receipt.

What do I need to bring with me when travelling to the car park?

Please bring the following with you to in order to ensure your online booking is recognised: Take the same car whose licence plate details you provided when making the booking Bring the same credit or debit card used to make the booking Drive to your pre-booked car park Stop at the entry barrier The system will read your vehicle licence plate and once it matches the licence plate details provided in your online booking the barrier will automatically lift

I prebooked parking, the barrier didn’t lift, and I took a ticket. What do I need to do now?

Please press the intercom button at the barrier and pay stations to talk to a member of the customer service team who can help you. Alternatively, please call customer service on +353 1 8144828 for the 24 hour call line.

What happens if my car licence plate is not recognised at the entry or exit barrier of my prebooked car park?

Should the car park barrier not lift, insert the same card you used to make your booking into the card slot in the entry or exit terminal. To avoid an additional charge, please do not press the button for a ticket. An issued ticket will mean the system will assume that you have no prebooked reservation

What happens if I bring a different car to the one identified when making my booking online?

You must insert the same credit/debit card used to make the online booking and the system will then identify your booking and raise the barrier . You are also required to enter the same credit/debit card at the exit when leaving the car park.

Where are the shuttle bus collection points?

Customer Entry: The shuttle buses that bring passengers to Terminal 1 and 2 buildings operate from the designated bus shelters in the open zones of the car park Customer Return: The shuttle buses that collect returning passengers, operate from designated bus shelter pick up points opposite Terminal 1 (zone 9) and Terminal 2 . You will see signage for Express Red and Holiday Blue car parks, and each bus destination is clearly signed Express Red and Holiday Blue .The bus will drop you to the zone where you parked your car . If in doubt, please check with the bus driver.

How long does the shuttle bus take to get from the long term car parks to the Terminal?

Express Red: transfer time: 5 minutes Holiday Blue: Transfer time: 10 minutes

How often does the shuttle bus service in the long term car parks operate?

Express Red Car Park: A bus departs every 10 minutes from the Express Red Car Park, and drops passengers to the Terminal 1 and 2 buildings . The journey time is approximately 5 minutes and the bus service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Holiday Blue Car Park: A bus departs every 15 minutes from the Holiday Blue Car Park, and drops passengers to the Terminal 1 and 2 buildings. The journey time is approximately 10-15 minutes and the bus service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Does a shuttle bus service for the long term car parks run to and from the Terminal?

Yes, a 24-hour free shuttle bus operates from all Long Term Car Parks. We don't pick up passengers from external parking such as Q-Park or Clayton Hotel.

Where are the reduced mobility spaces located?

Terminal 1, Short Term Car Park B, has 50 PRM spaces located on the lower ground floor, maximum height 1.85m Terminal 2, between Level 1 and Level 2, has 40 PRM spaces, maximum eight 2.1 m Spaces are well signed, wheelchair accessible and have a non-slip surface to provide easy movement and access for customers The Express Red Long Term Car Park has 5 PRM spaces within each parking zone, and these are clearly sign posted The Express Red Long Term Car Park is also serviced by a 24 hour, 7 days a week wheelchair accessible shuttle bus service, which operates from the car park and from the designated pick up point opposite Terminal 1 (zone 9). Can I book reduced mobility parking online?

Yes, you can pre-book reduced mobility parking on www.dublinairport.com in 2 stages. Stage 1 - identify yourself as a Reduced Mobility Driver Fill in the form here which will automatically send you a Person of Reduced Mobility (PRM) code that you enter during the booking process.This gives you access to the Reduced Mobility Parking area and a preferential parking rate To complete this form, you will require your PRM parking permit details (number and expiry date) and the registration number of the vehicle which you will bring to the car park. Upon submitting this form, you will automatically receive a response which will include a PRM code This PRM code is required to get the special short term car park daily rate for permit holders (€9.50 per day). Please note this PRM code is a guaranteed rate that is unlikely to change, we do offer cheaper rates without a promotional code which will still allow you to access the PRM parking spaces. Stage 2 - You now have your PRM promotion code, and can book online via the www.dublinairport.com homepage Enter your code into the PRM box of the car park quick quote form. When you have entered all the relevant detail in the quick quote form, click submit and the appropriate rates for parking will be presented to you. Who can help me when I arrive at the airport and need PRM assistance?

Dublin Airport has appointed OCS to provide assistance services to people with reduced mobility upon arriving at either of the two short term car parks. Assistance in the short term car parks is available at the help points located in or immediately adjacent to the designated parking areas. Are there any restrictions on the type of vehicle I can bring to the car park?

The Long Term and Short Term car park accommodate standard family cars, SUVs etc. Vehicles are subject to height restrictions in the short-term multi-storey car parks. We do not accommodate large commercial vehicles or vehicles with trailers attached.

Which car park is the closest to the airport?

The quickest option is Short Term Parking, which is a short stroll from the Terminal building and check-in, in both Terminals 1 and 2 The next best option is Express Red Car Park, which is on-campus, with 8,000 spaces and only a 5-minute shuttle bus trip away from the Terminal 1 and 2 buildings.

Is there a valet service available at Dublin airport ?

Are there any height restrictions in place in the car park?

If your vehicle licence plate is not recognised at the entry or exit barrier and the car park barrier doesn't lift, scan the QR code from your booking confirmation email at the in-lane scanner.
If the QR code does not scan, please press the call assistance button. Do not press the button for a ticket. If you do, the system will assume that you are a new customer who has no pre-booked reservation and may incur an additional charge.
Once you enter the short or long-term car parks, please allow yourself sufficient time to find a car parking space.
A free shuttle bus service operates to Terminal 1 and 2 from the long-term car parks. More information on this service is available here. Please allow additional time for traffic or delays.
Remember to take note or a photo of your car parking spot, as after a nice break away it can be easy to forget where you've parked.
