plane landing

Certain suburbs of Dublin may experience a temporary increase in aircraft movements over the next three nights resulting in the night time closure of the main runway, R10/28, at Dublin Airport.

These night time closures are to facilitate site investigation works on the main runway as well as essential grass cutting close to this runway.

This work forms part of the upkeep and maintenance of the runway system at Dublin Airport and is critical for the safe operation of the airport.

For operational reasons this work, which is weather dependent, must be carried out at night.

The work is taking place from tonight, Wednesday September 14 and will continue from 11pm to 4.45am each night until Saturday morning September 17.

Aircraft using Dublin Airport will land and take off on the north/west south/east runway known as R16/34 during these hours.

Dublin Airport regrets any inconvenience that may be caused by these essential runway works.
